This Week in Disney Parks Photos: The Merriest Parade Pics From Magic Kingdom Park

By far one of the happiest holiday sights I enjoy here at Walt Disney World Resort each year is "Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade," which steps off during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

This year, Disney photographer Charlie Champagne went out and captured dozens of new photos of the parade that you just can't miss. Be sure to check out the gallery above for dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers, our friends from "Frozen," Santa Claus and much more.

Seasonal Craft Beers at Walt Disney World Resort

I'm a huge fan of craft beers, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out several seasonal craft brews are offered at Walt Disney World Resort.

DCB690482

"When the weather turns cold, it's time to seek out some of the most popular seasonal beers, including winter ales and Indian Pale Ales (IPAs)," says Jason Cha-Kim, Beverage Manager at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. "These beers are brewed stronger, richer and more full-bodied with wonderful holiday flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel."

A few of the craft beers you can enjoy at Walt Disney World Resort include Widmer Brothers Brrr Seasonal Ale, Bell's Winter White Ale, Harpoon Winter Warmer Spiced Ale, Sierra Nevada Celebration Fresh Hop IPA and Shock Top Shockolate Wheat.

Another brew perfect for this time of the year is the Einstok White Ale available at the beer cart in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot--the only place you'll find this ale on tap outside of Iceland!

Keep an eye out for these limited-time brews throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

PHOTO GALLERY: Holidays at Tokyo Disney Resort

This week, we're wrapping up our look at how Disney Parks around the world are celebrating this holiday season with a look inside the fun at Tokyo Disney Resort.

TDC600805

Tokyo Disneyland is hosting its "Christmas Fantasy" celebration through December 25. During this time, guests can visit Disney's Santa Village, watch the seasonal "Disney's Santa Village Parade" that features Disney characters and Santa's elves getting ready for the holiday. After the sun goes down, guests can enjoy "Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights," a sparkling nighttime parade that features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and many more Disney characters dressed up for the holidays, and end the night with "Starbright Christmas" fireworks.

Over at Tokyo DisneySea, guests can enjoy the "Christmas Wishes" celebration, which features lush holiday decor and Christmas trees that light up Mediterranean Harbor. The harbor also sets the scene for "Colors of Christmas," a show in which Mickey Mouse asks everyone to send their holiday wishes out to the Christmas tree floating on the water. Minnie Mouse and friends also star in the "Holiday Greeting from Seven Ports" stage show.

Magic Kingdom Park Welcomes the Golden Coach from 'Cinderella'

As a special holiday offering, guests visiting Magic Kingdom Park will have the opportunity to see the actual coach featured in the upcoming live-action Disney film, "Cinderella." A team of white horses will pull the dreamlike carriage in special pre-parade appearances through the park and down Main Street, U.S.A.

Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration TV Special

Inspired by the classic fairy tale, "Cinderella" brings to life the timeless images from Disney's 1950 animated masterpiece in a visually dazzling spectacle for a whole new generation. The stunning, golden coach from the film will be gracing the parade route at Magic Kingdom Park through the holidays, and can also be seen as part of the "Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration," airing Christmas Day on ABC.

"Cinderella" opens in theaters March 13, 2015.

These Are the Gifts You're Looking For At Disney Parks This Holiday Season

I know where I will be almost one year from now - sitting in a movie theater with my son as the opening credits roll for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Being a long-time fan of all things Star Wars, it will be the perfect holiday gift to myself next year. I remember receiving many Star Wars-themed gifts growing up in the late 1970s (the Death Star Space Station playset was one of my favorites!). If you are looking for Star Wars holiday gifts this season, I have a few suggestions of items created especially for Disney Parks.

stasta870011

I love this fun holiday sweater T-shirt featuring Darth Vader, Stormtroopers and other icons (it's perfect for winter in Florida).

The Disney Pin team released some new holiday pins including a 9-pin mystery set with Star Wars gingerbread characters.

stasta716223

If you are looking for toys, there are a few different options including the Starspeeder 1000 vehicle playset inspired by Star Tours - The Adventures Continue; a giant Clone Trooper found only at Disney Parks; and Disney Racers die-cast cars which make for great stocking stuffers.

I also like the Star Wars Droid Factory where you can design and build your own Astromech droid action figure. This experience is offered at Tatooine Traders in Disney's Hollywood Studios, Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney Marketplace in Florida, and The Star Trader in Tomorrowland at Disneyland park in California.

You can also find other Star Wars items online at DisneyStore.com/StarWars.

May the Holidays Be With You!

How Guest 'Wishes' Benefit The Local Community

Did you ever wonder what happens to the coins that get tossed into the wishing wells and fountains around Walt Disney World Resort? I've asked this question myself and found out that it really does help make wishes come true.

How Guest 'Wishes' Benefit The Local Community How Guest 'Wishes' Benefit The Local Community

For more than 30 years, Walt Disney World Resort has been collecting the tossed coins and donating the money to local nonprofit organizations that help children in need. Recently, Disney donated $18,000 to Community Based Care (CBC) of Central Florida to help provide services to children in foster care. This year, cast members chose CBC's Over-18 Support program to receive the funds. This program helps youngsters in foster care obtain their driver's licenses, find jobs, secure housing and apply for other health and human services.

So the next time you visit Walt Disney World, remember that when you toss a coin into a fountain and make a wish, you are helping make somebody else's wish come true!
